Police rescues a kidnapped Corps member from unknown gunmen

The river police command rescued Helen(a Corps member)  who was kidnapped at the lodge where she lived at ikwerre LGA of Rivers state. 


The gunmen broke into the place at about 3.am on Friday an pushed her into an unknown car.

The incident made the community security and the police to go in search of the corps member. 

The corps member that she was not fed by the criminal For three days according to the newsmen at the police station at igwuruta, ikwerre LGA. 

She also added that she was moved from one place to another during her stay in the bush.

The gunmen initially demanded for a ransom of N50m before they broke into the residence. 

It was the caretaker committee chairman, Mr. Samuel Nwanosike of the LGA that alerted the police immediately he heard of the incident that had happened.

When a shootout began between the police and the unknown gunmen, they abandoned there victim and ran away, the police said.
