Miley Cyrus and Idina Menzel have at least one thing in common: Disney.
Idina voiced Elsa in the megahit movieFrozen, which to this day continues to be a roaring success with the song "Let It Go." But even Idina can admit that everyone, including her
son Walker Diggs, is over the Frozenfever that took the nation by storm. "I'm sorry, Disney, but [Walker] is sick of 'Let It Go,'" she shares on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which is hosted by Miley today. "He hates mommy singing it."
Idina admits that Walker instead prefersFinding Dory and not just because she's onEllen DeGeneres' show! Even though most people might be "sick" of Frozen, that's not stopping Disney from creating a highly anticipated sequel in which Idina would appear once again. This time, however, fans are requesting that Disney #GiveElsaAGirlfriend after the studio failedGLAAD's LGBTQ report card.
When Miley asks Idina if she could weigh in on the possibility, the Wicked alum said she didn't know anything. "I'm a servant to Disney," she jokes.
"Trust me, that makes two of us," Miley quips. "Welcome! No one knows that better than me, baby!"
Miley, who famously starred on Hannah Montana, has been vocal about her time spent on the Disney series, admitting to Ellethat she was underpaid.
"I did not grow up spoiled in any way. I just wanted to be on TV. I mean, at one point—they'll probably kill me for saying it—I was probably the least paid person on my cast because I didn't know any better," the actress recalls. "I was just like, 'I can be on Disney! Yeah, I want to do it!'"
While talking about Disney during her hosting duties, however, Miley says she hopes the Mouse House follows through with the gay character. Idina says she feels the same way.
"I am all for it. I think it's wonderful," Idina adds. "I can't promise anyone that it's going to happen because I'm a servant to Disney. I love Disney and I work for Disney."
